However, under most situations, such professionals remain either unutilized or underutilized. As a result, the patient population is often deprived of easily accessible and cost-effective primary care services 2. Hence, different guidelines and policies have voiced their autonomy in providing primary care services 1, 2. However, pharmacists should practice within their professional boundaries in extending medical management services to patients and allied stakeholders. The present article posed an argument that pharmacists should expand their scope of practice and receive appropriate reimbursement for exhibiting effective partnership with the interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
